What to say to a neighbor
Most referrals happen over a fence or in a neighborhood Facebook group, usually right after someone sees a truck in your driveway or notices the yard looks different. You do not need a sales pitch. Something like this is plenty:
“We use Summit Exterior Services for our yard. Local guy, shows up when he says he will, and the pricing has been fair. Mention my name and you get $25 off your first service.”
That is it. They call or text 919-777-4103, tell us your name, and we take it from there. You do not have to track anything or hand them a code.
Common questions
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No. Every neighbor who books a first service with us earns you another $25 off, and the credits stack. Refer four people and your next service is $100 cheaper. There is no cap and no expiration on credit you have already earned.
When do I actually get the credit?
As soon as your neighbor's first job is complete and paid. We apply it straight to your next invoice, so there is nothing to redeem and no coupon to keep track of. If you are on a recurring mowing schedule, it comes off your next scheduled visit.
Does the referral have to be for the same service I use?
Not at all. If we mow your lawn and your neighbor books us for gutter cleaning, holiday lighting, or a full property cleanup, it still counts. Any first-time paid service by someone you sent counts as a referral.
What if they forget to mention my name?
Just call or text us and let us know. As long as it is reasonably close to when they booked, we will credit you. We would rather sort it out than have you miss out over a technicality.
Can I refer someone outside Holly Springs?
Yes, as long as they are inside our service area, which runs roughly 15 miles out from Holly Springs. That covers Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Morrisville, Willow Spring, Angier, and the smaller communities in between. If you are not sure whether a neighbor's address qualifies, ask us and we will check.
Do I have to be a current customer?
You need to have had at least one service with us so we have an account to apply the credit to. If you have not booked yet, get a free estimate first and you can start referring right after your first job.
